yasAI is a young and agile technology company focused on enhancing simulation engineering through artificial intelligence. We specialize in leveraging AI to simplify complex simulations and accelerate engineering workflows in fields such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEM (Finite Element Method), and design optimization.

Your Role

As a Mandatory Intern (Pflichtpraktikum) in Software Development, you will support the development of modern AI-driven software tools for simulation engineers. Your work will focus on building scalable backend services, AI agent workflows, and integration layers that connect large language models with engineering simulation environments.

Your Tasks

• Develop software components in Rust for high-performance backend services.
• Contribute to SaaS platform development for engineering simulation tools.
• Build AI agents for simulation engineers to automate workflows and analysis tasks.
• Integrate and deploy LLM-based systems into engineering software pipelines.
• Work with containerized applications and service communication (e.g., APIs, microservices).
• Support development of frontend interfaces for AI-powered engineering tools.
   

Your Profile

• Mandatory internship as part of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• Interest in AI systems, software architecture, and engineering applications.
• Programming experience (preferably Rust, Python, or similar languages).
• Basic understanding of LLMs, APIs and container technologies.
• Structured and independent working style.
• Fluent in English or German.

Location: Remote or hybrid (Kaiserslautern or Rottenburg am Neckar)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: 39 hours/week

Duration: 3-6 months (depending on university requirements)
